John Bennett Fenn (June 15, 1917 – December 10, 2010) was an American analytical chemist. He was awarded a share of the 2002 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his pioneering work in developing electrospray ionization for mass spectrometry. This technique enabled the analysis of large biological molecules, transforming proteomics and chemical physics.
