Isabella II (October 10, 1830 – April 9, 1904) was Queen of Spain from 1833 until her deposition in 1868, the only queen regnant in unified Spanish history. Her reign was marked by political turmoil, the Carlist Wars, and a transition to constitutional monarchy. She lived much of her later life in exile in France.
