Juliana of the Netherlands

Juliana was born Princess Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina of Orange-Nassau, a member of the House of Orange-Nassau, on April 30, 1909. Her birthplace was the historic city of The Hague, the seat of government in the Netherlands. As the only child of Queen Wilhelmina and Prince Henry of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, she was destined from birth for a life of public service within the Dutch monarchy.
