Ion Antonescu (1882 – 1946) was a Romanian military officer and politician who served as Prime Minister and Conducător during World War II. He was responsible for facilitating the Holocaust in Romania, leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands. Overthrown in 1944, he was executed for war crimes in 1946.
