Georges Méliès

Georges Méliès (1861–1938) was France best known for French filmmaker and illusionist.

Marie-Georges-Jean Méliès (December 8, 1861 – January 21, 1938) was a French filmmaker and illusionist. He pioneered cinematic special effects like substitution splices and multiple exposures, transforming film into a medium for fantasy and spectacle. Méliès created iconic works such as A Trip to the Moon and was one of the first to use storyboards.
