Thomas Riley Marshall (March 14, 1854 – June 1, 1925) was an American lawyer, politician, and the 28th Vice President under Woodrow Wilson. He is remembered for his wit, his refusal to forcibly assume presidential powers during Wilson's incapacitation, and for his famous quote about a "good five-cent cigar."
