William H. Seward (1801–1872) was United States best known for American lawyer and politician.
William Henry Seward (May 16, 1801 – October 10, 1872) was an American lawyer and politician. He served as New York Governor, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State during the Civil War, staunchly opposing slavery. Seward also negotiated the purchase of Alaska, proving himself a leader ahead of his time.
