François Couperin (1668–1733) was France best known for French Baroque composer, organist and harpsichordist.
François Couperin (November 10, 1668 – September 11, 1733) was a French Baroque composer, organist, and harpsichordist. Known as "Couperin le Grand," he composed influential organ masses and harpsichord pieces, and served the court of Louis XIV. His musical legacy continued through his family, notably his daughter, who succeeded him at court.
