William R. King (April 7, 1786 – April 18, 1853) was an American politician and diplomat from Alabama. He served as a U.S. Representative, Senator, and Minister to France, culminating in his brief term as the 13th Vice President. His unique oath of office in Cuba and close relationship with James Buchanan define much of his story.
