Elbert Green Hubbard (June 19, 1856 – May 7, 1915) was an American writer, publisher, artist, and philosopher. He founded the Roycroft artisan community, an influential exponent of the Arts and Crafts movement. Hubbard’s writings and life embodied a philosophy of independent thought and courageous living, even in his final moments.
